The National Nutrition week 2020 is observed across the world from September 1st to September 7th.
Every year it is celebrated during the month of March, focusing on the importance of making informed for choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.
The theme for National Nutrition month 2020 is “Eat Right, Bite by Bite”.
PM talks about nutrition month
Regarding this, on 30th August, Sunday, Narendra Modi announced that the September will be observed as Nutrition month, during his monthly ‘Mann ki Baat’ radio programme.
He also said that “For our children and our students to display their optimum potential and proper nourishment play a very big role. The month of September will be observed as nutrition month in the entire nation”.
Former Miss World shares her nutritional diet
Former Miss world Manushi chhillar started sharing her nutritional journey in her social media accounts.
She also had question hour with her fans about her nutritional diet, and also suggested some tips to be healthy and about how can one have a nutritional diet.
Why Nutrition is important?
Each one in five in India are lacking proper nutritional values in their food. And this situation is leading India to be a “Hunger Nation”.
And globally, more number of deaths associated with poor diet and malnutrition are recorded in India only.
In 2018, 8,82,000 children who are under 5 years are died due to malnutrition.
India ranks 102 in the Global Hunger Index.
To get over all these kind of situations in India, everyone must and should have a nutritional diet.
